Welcome to Our Study!

Detroit Safety & Crime Survey (DeSCS) studies how Detroit residents feel about their safety and how this is related to their social networks. By collecting data from Detroit residents aged 18 and older, our study seeks to understand their experiences with safety and crime.

DeSCS is a collaborative effort between researchers from the University of Michigan, led by Dr. Sunghee Lee, a Research Professor at the Institute of Social Research, University of Michigan.

You may have been invited to DeSCS through our sister study, Detroit Metro Area Study (DMACS)
